Where to start

Choose one strategy to explain and model, such as recalling a concept before checking notes. Use the accompanying resource to discuss how the strategy works and when it may be useful. Adjust practice to the subject and learner rather than treating the six strategies as a complete curriculum.

Access and considerations

Downloadable materials are available for educational use under stated attribution, noncommercial and no-derivatives conditions. Follow the terms on the original page. The authors caution that these strategies do not solve every educational problem or guarantee grades.
